As Sienna gets older and more independent, she’s finding that she has difficulty accessing soaps, sinks and hand drying towels/blowers in many bathrooms. She, and other Little People, shouldn’t need to rely on others to pick them up in order to have access to proper hygeine in restrooms.
This may have been attempted before, but I’m going to give it a whirl anyway. I developed a Facebook page as a way of showing interest in seeing the equal access given.
If you have any suggestions on how I can go about getting this done, I’d love to hear from you!
Join the movement on Facebook! If you have problems with the link. Go on Facebook and search for Equal Restroom Access for Little People.
I would love to join but can’t find it! I’ve been bewildered myself for a while, my situation is my child and access to the same. I just don’t get it??? When we push, push, push for kids to wash hands etc, then we provide no means for them to do so! I can’t imagine the daily struggles dwarfs and other small stature persons go thru just to live. Smaller basins, toilets, paper goods are out there, why don’t companies put them in? Good luck, your family is beautiful! ~Jami
Thanks for your compliments and support! Sorry about the link. I’ll see if I can fix it. Until then, try looking up “Equal Restroom Access for Little People” on FB.
Check out the ADA. Americans with Disabilities Act. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying Sinny is disabled but the ADA would give you a good place to start. Good luck!
